Traveling through myriad landscapes, business is conducted in the realm of new realities and at the rate of life.

I’m riding the Coast Starlight, an Amtrak segment that starts in Southern California and goes all the way to Seattle, Washington following the dazzling California coast and passing through the beautiful scenery of Western Oregon and Washington.  As I would imagine it is with any other traveler, the serenity of the experience moves me to share with others so I pull out one of my many communications/data devices and set to the task of documenting this event.  Now, to clarify, my interest in documenting my experience in the world around me has faded a bit over the years, the pen has fallen to the side, my senses have been dulled by the grind of daily tasks…or rather I have allowed these things to happen.  But creativity has taken charge once again and I am driven to share and learn and teach and – more specific to this discussion – evolve in my professional world.

This attempt to chronicle my experience and share it with others is being undertaken as somewhat of a personal social experiment.  I have always enjoyed the observation of life around me and each human being offers no shortage of anomalies and quirks that make us the unique creatures we are.  With that appreciation in mind, my life-long passion is to endeavor to seek out insight into how we relate to and perceive the world around us.  More importantly, this journey – as is the life journey of every person – is a quest for understanding Self.  For when I gain understanding of myself, I better understand the world in which I live and work, and I better appreciate the others that I share it with.

It is important to note that I really have no answers, I share only perspective.  The study of my Self is chronicled only to provide a point of reference for others, for this is the function of relating.  Whatever insight that I share here – or anywhere else in life – is public domain, shared wisdom, common knowledge.  I have learned everything I know from those who came before and will come in the future; I can only pass it on as the opportunities present themselves.

Welcome to my adventure!
